| Moby – The Perfect Life (with Wayne Coyne) Lyrics

To me this song is about the fake happiness that drugs bring to your life. Wayne Coyne (Flaming Lips Singer) & Moby both seen there fair share of friends and peers fall to " the perfect life" of substance abuse. When your high your life is perfect. All need is tin and foil, bed and china, lighter and speed doesn't sound like the perfect life, to me. Sounds like when locking the doors to keep the older wolves and away. Is two-fold; maybe it's older drug dealers pushing the drugs or maybe older person who been down that path and wants to help but the guy doesn't want the advice. Its one of my favorites by Moby. |

I think the appeal of this song is that it's timeless/ageless. No matter where you are at in life, you can relate. Timeless b/c the subject matter are issues that will never go away. Judgement, shame, drugs, sex, relationships, homelezs, etc... Powerful song. |

The version I have is class of 99. Nevertheless, the song has depth without being deep. It delivers life lessons in a hopeful uplifting way. The song ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. I'm 37yrs old. I'm starting to TRULY understand different parts of the song |

It's all about the beginning of this song for me. In my opinion this song (& hand full of others) sums up what rave scene in the 90's. Wish more artists would say, "I want to create the next BORN SLIPPY"

Pablo Picasso as we all know was an abstract artist. This song is about a homeless vet with is dealing with PTSD and schizophrenia. He believes that the sign is a feel real person. The company comes in to change the sign and the homeless Vet gets mad and causes a scene. Cope has actually talk about this song and I wanna say that's what happen. Because I'm the mind of a schizophrenic person thoughts and reality can be more abstract (Hence Pablo Picasso). Bad Ass song!!! |

To me... I hear a band seeing the change in the music medium and Queen wrote a song about radio nostalgia. Wonder what Freddy Mercury would think of how you get out music today??? |
