| Steven Wilson – Blank Tapes (feat. Ninet Tayeb) Lyrics | 7 years ago |

Steven said it refers to using this outdated romantic concept of making music tapes as a sign of love. An important relationship ends and he uses the tape as an analogy of the emptiness and void felt in the break-up. Because despite everything they have shared and the obstacules they have got through together they still broke-up. |

It refers to those breathtakingly surreal moments we long for and realizing they're temporary, knowing there's nothing we can do to stop them from ending. He uses love as an example, and acts as a guy who tries to enjoy every second with his girl, hiding those negative ideas of time slipping by as a romanticly quirky "we're growing old together at least". But in reality he refers to any profound moment that makes us feel fulfilled and whole and knowing it'll end. Steven has named this "his happiest song", but he also explicitely said that this song refers to wishing those perfect moments in our lives to never end. He coined that concept of the adjetive "permate" and made it into a verb, refering to the action of "making something eternal, permanent, never ending". The video ends abruptly leaving the song incomplete, he does this live as well (at least in the To The Bone tour), reinforcing the idea that it's not entirely happy. |

| Steven Wilson – Nowhere Now Lyrics | 7 years ago |

Pretty Straightforward! The world is f***ed up, but there are things worth fighting for, they may seem unlikely or temporary at times(rush of love), but there's still room to have profound experiences like love. As the album explains living Nowadays imply being all rushed and insensitive, ruining the planet and still having retrograde behavious (like racism, war, twisted religions, ignorance, etc). Despite all that negativity Steven is surprisingly optimistic and states that even watching earth from outside, from above, even in that bigger scale or picture there's still beauty. |
