| I believe it took heavy inspiration from George Carlin's bit on prayer, seeing as how I can spot it referenced twice with the 50% and once more with the cancer [albeit not exact]. For those of you who don't know who George Carlin is, here's a layman's explanation: Religion is bullshit. The lyrics depict the story of an atheist who's been through an massive accident [presumably a plane crash] and survived. In his traumatized state, he laments the irony that all the people around him who probably believed in a god died whereas he lived. | |
