While some of this suggests that the subject is a love interest with a white car, I wonder if this isn't another nod to Stevie Nicks. Nicks has an album titled "In Your Dreams" (dreams are mentioned in the song) and the album cover features a white horse. The lines suggests s/he first saw the white mustang early in the summer "...the day [a] record dropped." "In Your Dreams" was released May 3rd of 2011. |
