A big part of believes that this is a song for children, people, who struggle, every day and want to give up. They're being told by Marko not to give up, to become stronger and shake off what they can of any trauma or fear of the future. It's going to be hard but it's not impossible, and on the other side, the sun will still rise, another day will come and you'll still be standing here, and there will be so much left ahead for us. As someone who suffers from depression and suicidal thoughts, it's a song that immediately made me cry upon hearing it and not truly knowing why. Songs like this one, "Cradled In Love", and "Sleep" can be heard as harmless songs but also ones dealing with depression, suicide, or simply letting go/losing someone/yourself. |
