| "They Say It's Wonderful" is a melancholy song told from the vantage point of one who has never experienced the joy of love. The lyrics point out that the singer has only heard what others have said about how wonderful love happens to be. The story teller is even detached from a first hand witnessing of the joy of love, as he comments, "I can't recall who said it, I know I've never read it." To add to the sorrow of the story teller, there is no lyrical expression that he/ she is actually looking for love. Only the casual statements that "They Say It's Wonderful."
