| Emerson, Lake & Palmer – Still...You Turn Me On Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| To me, the song is dedicated to my dead husband. Every sentence in the song that refers to being something, like an angel, or a string, or even "the man on the moon" can be him in my heart and memory, still part of my life. When I lay on my pillow or in my bed, he is still with me. And even through he has the dark glass on his eyes, because he no longer lives and his eyes are dark, and his flesh is crystalizing in the grave, still he turns me on in my memory. And every day I am a little sadder and madder because as each day goes by, the time between now and the last time I saw him alive is getting wider and wider, the space grows and it is sad and maddening. So please, someone get me a ladder so that I can try and reach him in Heaven, and this experience is so intense, and his death does not make sense, still he turns me on......in my memory of him. That's my personal interpretation. The song touches my soul and my inner being more than I can ever share in words. Thanks for listening (reading). RIP my sweet Paulie! | |
