Bread – Just Like Yesterday Lyrics 8 years ago
I remember hearing this song several years ago. We were riding a taxi. It was a long commute going home. And the traffic was really bad. Then the taxi driver played a Bread album. And I enjoyed it a lot. Then I heard this song, I so love it! But I didn't know the title. Since then I've been searching for it. But no luck. Then earlier while I was watching YouTube I heard this song again. Just Like Yesterday by Bread is really one of the sweetest songs that I ever heard.

The Lemonheads – Into Your Arms Lyrics 8 years ago
I'm a fan of The Lemonheads. I love a lot of their songs. But Into Your Arms is my most favorite song from them. The lyrics are very simple but very sweet. It's a rock love song. And I also loove the video of this song. Evan Dando still looked nice in there.

Björk – It's Oh So Quiet Lyrics 8 years ago
Haha yeah, so typical of a person who keeps on falling in and out of love. I've seen the video of this song and I like it. And this is the only song from Bjork that I ever like.

Candlebox – Far Behind Lyrics 8 years ago
For me I guess this song is about a person who was hurting someone who truly cared for him. But he just kept on taking her for granted. Until she finally left. And that's the only time the guy realized how much she means to him.

Caedmon's Call – Love Alone Lyrics 8 years ago
What a beautiful song! It talks about the Lord Jesus' ministry while He was still living here on earth. And how He healed different kinds of sickness and afflictions. And how some of those individuals He encountered has shown great faith. Like the woman who has been sick for a long time already, who just wanted to touch the hem of the robe of Jesus in order to be healed. Or those men who brought a paralytic. But they couldn't get through the thick crowd around Jesus. So they climbed up the roof of the house where the Lord was in. Tore back some of the roof tiles and lower down the paralytic's cot to be healed by Jesus.
Prince of despair is of course Satan. Who's been beaten by Jesus' victory at the cross. But still fights bringing along with him in his downfall the souls of the unbelievers and the wicked.
And of course we can't be saved by our own efforts alone. We need to cling to Jesus. Even if it means to grab a hold of the hem of His clothing. Through Him and by God's grace and great love we may never have to love alone we may have faith in Him. And we may never be like Simon Peter who denied Jesus many times before. That's dangerous. He might deny us too when the time comes He might say "away from me, I know you not". Just like He was aware that Simon Peter already denied Him, He would also know the people who would be standing in there in front of the throne at the end of the age who denied Him.

Jars of Clay – Flood Lyrics 8 years ago
Obviously this song talks about the great flood in Noah's time. But it also talks about the heavy yoke a believer carries in this life, troubles, temptation to sin, and the test of one's faith. Like a flood that can make you be swept away from God, or can make you sink down and drown unless He will lift you up. I also remember Peter in the scriptures, nearly drowned when his faith faltered. And the Lord Jesus lifted him up. So typically like most of us with shaky faith.

Lifehouse – Sick Cycle Carousel Lyrics 8 years ago
Yikes! Yes this song is really about a person swallowed up by sin. Lifehouse is one of my favorite Christian bands. And Sick Cycle Carousel is one of my favorite songs from them. It's really true! When you are lured to sin, at the start you think you could just easily get out of it. You'd say "just a teenie weenie bite of that forbidden fruit and it won't hurt" "just one small white lie is just okay". And before You know it you are already sucked in and can't get out! Of course at the start you won't be aware that you've already gone too far. Satan would always make you feel comfy and cozy when you sin. But as you already know it has its consequences. And as a result you will feel empty and miserable . But you are already trapped! And you would ask yourself how did you get into that situation. But of course there's a way out! Just like the prodigal son to his loving father, if you would humble yourself in front of God, ask for forgiveness sincerely, admit that you have sinned , repent and surely God will forgive you and would still love you. That is if you're willing to step down from that sick cycle carousel.

Jars of Clay – Show You Love Lyrics 8 years ago
I'm not very good and very eloquent in expressing things.. Especially English is not my native language. But here's my take on this song, Show You Love is about God's grace, patience, and unending love for humanity. First He gave His undivided attention only to His chosen people Israel '. He gave them 'the law', with its rules, sacrifices, etc. But still they kept on being wayward. And can't abide on it. Despite of their privileges and closeness to God. But still God was very patient with them. Until He sent His Only Son Jesus. The perfect sacrifice, the redeemer.. But God's people rejected their messiah. But through their rejection the gentiles are also blessed! Every nation who have heard the good news of salvation, and accepted and gonna accept the Son, and believe are saved and gonna be saved. It shows that God has no favorites be you are a gentile or a Jew. God's expression of love was when He sent His only begotten Son to save us from sin and death, from the grasp and lies of Satan with His precious blood. God the Father and Jesus the Son has shown us love , no matter what language, what dialect we speak. All we need to do is to have faith and be obedient.

Caedmon's Call – Prove Me Wrong Lyrics 8 years ago
Prove Me Wrong isn't really my most favorite song from Caedmon's Call. But the lyrics speaks so much tabout me. Sometimes when troubles come and God failed to answer my prayers. I wonder too if I am one of the elect. Especially at times when I sin, and it's so hard to get out of it. And it's so difficult to concentrate praying, and my mind wanders somewhere else. I asked myself am I another Esau? Am I another Ishmael? Am I not lovable and forgivable? But after quite a while of testing when God finally answers , it's so worth it! The agony of doubt and waiting finally eased out. And I feel so much loved by God. And it reassures me that I am one of His sheep.
