'butterfingers, i'm losing my patience' suggests that this outlook may cause the character to be on receiving end of quite cold abuse, easily manipulated, caused in part to their lack of assertion but those around too. Although it may actually be them causing this-are they saying it or someone else-we don't know if they are instead the abuser but the music video to me suggests the victim-not reacting or asserting and ignoring each hit of the car. He is an idealist, an empath, seeks to avoid conflict and ends up becoming what he feared- soulless, confused and vindictive, internalises everything and battles others because there is ego confusion between him and them. Also the jacobs ladder sample-speaks of a state of manipulation and PTSD, but there are states of complex PTSD from more covert psychological torture.. | |
