This song always struck me as being about becoming a parent. The pregnant mother being 'the blob' which 'shrinks' when the child is born. "We're Siamese if you please" means we're in this together in the sense what affects one in the family affects them all. The rest of the song is about pledging to be there for the child no matter what, admiring/lamenting how quickly she's growing up and trying to teach her the most important lessons in life like treating others with kindness. |
