i think all the same as the previous comment (by @[annaoomph:23370] except 4 the statement saying that it was after his wife told justin that she had been cheating on him . i think it's about the ' ex boyfriend that was taking his place @ the 1st of the month ' which was said in the song ' the money tree ' |

personally , i think it's about justin's experience w/ his mentalent illness . incase u didn't know , justin was diagnosed w/ bipolar disorder @ a young age . also , he has battled w/ blackouts throughout his life . ( ' the flight ' is a song about his blackouts that's on the ' any man in america ' album ) as well as the fact that he had a lot of pressure on him during the making of the approaching normal album . 4 example , the birth of his 1st daughter , divorce , & a custody battle . |
