My thoughts... 1. This is indeed a really lovely song from Jidenna I must confess...wasn't too much of a surprise when I later realised he was at Stanford... 2. I believe the song is about a 'playboy' sincerely liking a girl but doesn't want to hurt her and neither does he want to lose her... 3. ...Unfortunately however, he eventually did and realised that when he got the invitation to her wedding and really felt bad hence 'no one can take you away from me'. Really lovely song. Reminds me of the song 'congratulations' by blue october and imogen heap. Similar story line. |
