Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics 4 years ago
I'm glad these lyrics have great meaning to some of you, but let's face it: it's the great music we truly respond to. Any incomprehensible gibberish would serve as well to hang Mr. Plant's caterwauling on. And, acid-washed hippie mysticism notwithstanding, I'm sure the young Zeppelin's concept of Heaven was: good dope, piles of real gold, and plenty of groupie-meat.
And how can you reconcile a Satanic interpretation to a song about Heaven-seeking?
Wouldn't the Lady-we-all-know (I certainly never met her!) be seeking rather a rust-bucket down the well to firey perdition?
And, if Heaven was her goal, why a stairway? Who could climb the steps of a million-light-years high staircase without getting winded? An escalator to heaven, an elevator maybe. And if she's dying to get there, wouldn't her soul simply float there?
And why would she be alarmed if the May Queen chose to clean her hedgerow by hiring a bustle-wearing handmaiden to trim the hedges? It's free, lady, so stop complaining! It makes me wonder if this Lady may be mentally challenged.
I also think when Bob sings of a feeling he gets when he looks to the West about leaving means that wildfires have destroyed his Malibu mansion. Thus the "smoke-rings".
I also think it is a great shame when a great song like this is so overplayed we can no longer enjoy it.
Maybe there is hope for the Lady; maybe she can buy her ticket to heaven by buying whatever John Bonham took to get there!
Goodbye everybody, see you all in heaven!
It may take a hell of a long time to get there!

Bob Dylan – Death Is Not the End Lyrics 7 years ago
It means that although you may suffer pain, loneliness, confusion, etc., this dark spell is only temporary. You will see the light, and experience eternal life, after death, because Death Is Not The End.
