i find all the comments right with their opinions:the glowing eyes are his dark thoughts and he is entertaining them while the someone at the door can be hid family,God/faith or life. But what i thought when i first heard this song(an year ago) is that the glowing eyes represent his fans,the clique.Their eyes must be glowing from hope or the will to live.He is finding comfort with them but the somone at the door must be his own responsibilities or his own mental health.This means tyler is trying to fix others but he is forgetting to fix his own self and as he is finding comfort near the eyes/fans he want to keep being with them amd sing to them.This can be imagined as a concert:he is singing to all the eyes forgetting his own self and the eyes are singing back to him.Also the first stanza can be the song he is singing to the eyes.The stanza "the room is too dark for us to stay around, redemption's not that far and darkness is going down' can show his success in growing hope for the eyes.I also want to point out that the 'La da da da' has also been mentioned in tyler's 'Before you start your day' which played as lullaby or a tune to comfort someone and as it is present in this song too,it can show that tyler is comforting his fans or particularly all the depressed people.The verse which states that he enters the room of depression can be the room he is in now with all the other people but he is consoling them but fails to console himself and he can purposely enter that tom just to save those people.In the last verse he understands his mistake of staying in the room with the eyes because his depression is getting worse trying to console others. |

| i completely love how Tyler writes his songs which can create different meanings it's just the perspective.People who listen to twenty one pilots for their music would be finding this as a sweet story of a relationship of a mother,sister or a girlfriend.People who might be depressed would interpret this song differently which is very beautiful if you think about it.different minds and different opinions.Also i have been in the clique for two years and a half and i am lucky enough to discover such of an amazing duo. stay alive frens |-/ ,living is beautiful. | |

it think God is talking to MIS-believer as she doesn't believes in him and he is trying to call her back to him. "I will tell you i love you but the muffs on your ears would cater your fears" these lines perfectly explain my theory as God is telling her that he loves her but her 'muffs' which can represent the world or her sins are stopping him to do so and her fears are preventing her from coming back to God as well. "Please,take my hand,we're in foreign land/As we travel through snow/Together we go" this is also God requesting her to come with him.And as she is a misbeliever,it would be hard for her to come back to her religion which is why it says "As we travel through snow" as walking in snow is pretty difficult. also it says "pretty sleeper" and "pretty weeper" just to represent God's love and how God loves however his creation is. Lastly the twisted thoughts the person is getting can be blasphemy and doubt in God -the continuation of the comment made by me |

| the other comments are completely right about the meaning but i was thinking that what if it was God who is narrating this song as "You're my pride and joy" as it is a belief that we all are children of God so we're obviously his happiness and as the person he is talking about in this song seems to be very innocent and a very cheery person so God is happy for him as well as concerned.if we take tyler's other songs about another person to be narrated by God,it perfectly fits especially Miss Believer. | |
