John Lennon's masterpiece work, my favorite song of all time. The message for world peace behind this song is quite powerful, I am not surprised why this song and Michael Jackson's "Heal the World" became the world peace anthems.
I don't know why some people think this song is a communist manifesto, I don't see anything communist about it. |

John Lennon's most beautiful love ballad ever
The lyrics are acidic and sardonic yet beautifully written on the same time, what an interesting combination. Really love the words that Lennon chose for this song, very nice.
The music is quite serene, albeit in John Lennon style. Love the Greek-like music of this song, very nicely done in John way. John Lennon did a good job on the music. |

This song is pretty underrated, I consider this song as one of John Lennon's best.
The lyrics are very sweet and tender but not cloying, very unlikely for someone like John Lennon to write lyrics as sweet and as tender as this one. And this song is addressed to Prudence Farrow as am encouragement message, work wonders. Good job John.
The music is misty and melodious, this song is the living prove that John also could make melodious music. And the guitar playing is also well-done, charming sounding. When I am listening to this song I feel like I am at the middle of a beach in the morning surrounded by tender sunshine and beautiful lustrous sand. |

I really love this song, this song is one of my favorites.
The music is very beautiful and pleasing on the ear, sounds like Medieval European style music to me. When I am listening to this song, I feel like I am traveling back to the Medieval period. And the clavichord playing from Paul is brilliant, added the charm to this song.
The lyrics are very beautifully written, sweet and tender yet heartbreaking on the same time. Paul did a good job on the lyrics.
Paul's voice also sounds very soothing and beautiful here, I really love his singing voice on this song.
Now I can see why John Lennon loved this song very much, it is very beautifully done. John Lennon once ever admitted that this song is like a piece of fine art. |
