| @[dgkfhjlffjfjhlfhja:20129] I think because if you are familiar with Keith's writing a lot of his stuff is heavily metaphorical. A big reason I love his writing and this band. You could be so sure his songs mean what you think and then your hear someone else's interpretation and you head can explode. In an interview when this album came out he addressed this song along the lines of what other people have said: a song about seeing his friends around him hating their jobs/life/etc and wishing they would have stuck to playing music like he had while at the same time he was having thoughts of giving it all up to be where said friends are hence the line wanting to be dead with his friends. I think that is all he spoke of about this song if I recall correctly. | |
