Thanks for the comment sokorny I remember an interview with one of the band members, Suzanne who was chosen to be spokesperson for the group as her English was better than the others and her being asked about the song Dr Mabuse , she explained The character was of huge fascination and theatrical movies of the character which was to be a warning against Fascists The fact that Germany is mostly remembered by 2nd world war ..But before that there was a great movement within Art and creative writing, and Film Makers , which has been forgotten over time, it was then that the Movie or short films of Dr Mabuse were made and its profound background where its set in a mysterious and dark ominous setting..where the character is not a person whom anyone might wish to know.. the Films created back then before 1940`s revolutionary in nature and artist impression was much respected for its time..Propaganda`s song called Dr Mabuse wanted to recreate its theme and story but in a modern form of a figure of someone such as high corporate businesman .. it was their way to try relight a forgotten era in germany of its great and strong influence through the arts in general.. |

This song was a song written about the character dr mabuse He first appeared in the 1921 novel Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler ("Dr. Mabuse The Gambler") by Norbert Jacques. The novel benefitted from unprecedented publicity and quickly became a best-seller. Lang, already an accomplished director, worked with his wife Thea von Harbou on a revision of the novel to bring it to the screen, where it also became a great success. The film Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler (1922), with a playing time of more than four hours, was released in two sections: Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler, an Image of the Times and Inferno, People of the Times. After the great successes of the novel and the movie, it was almost a decade before anything more was done with the character. Jacques had been working on a sequel to the novel, named Mabuse's Colony, in which Mabuse has died and a group of his devotees are starting an island colony, based on the principles described by Mabuse's manifesto. However, the novel was unfinished. After conversations with Lang and von Harbou, Jacques agreed to discontinue the novel and the sequel instead became the 1933 movie Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse, in which the Mabuse of 1920 (still played by Rudolf Klein-Rogge) is an inmate in an insane asylum but has for some time been obsessively writing meticulous plans for crime and terrorism—plans that are being performed by a gang of criminals outside the asylum, who receive their orders from a person who has identified himself to them only as Dr. Mabuse. Dr. Mabuse story appeared in Bold Venture Press pulp magazine AWESOME Tales in [2016] wherein in 1939 an asylum, imprisoned Dr. Mabuse uses his powers to control Hitler. Inspector Lohmann, now a reluctant Gestapo investigator, gets wind of this and attempts to prevent chaos. |

| I kind of believe it was about the sign of the times in which the events of 1989 where the Berlin Wall was publicly declared as void, people all over the world watched on TV 100`s of people actively destroying it. keeping a piece of its rubble as a reminder that it was the start of communism and oppression losing its power and its control. It marked a moment in time where power of the people the strength of free speech, a society putting aside conflicts and showing the world how we can change political rule when everyone stand together as a mass and force where we watched its effect and power of the people .The fall of the wall showed proof that any society living under a oppressive political Rule ..Actually look at reality and begin to understand all of society had been deliberately manipulated in breaking up those within, dividing it using and abusing media and cause issues in order to place a countries population in order to control impose and suppress any chance of uprising .. | |
