This song is about a girl who was born and raised in a wealthy family, and who got involved with romantic relationships with people she didn't get to know very well. She gets pregnant from a much older, more mature man, who physically abuses her and takes advantage of her riches and her attractive figure. The girl keeps having major disasters with relationships, and ends up losing her son. It is not specified how the girl loses her son, as it is left to the listener to guess whether the girl's son was adopted out, taken into custody by the girl's husband, or died. The girl then relocates to the southern United States to get away from her abusive husband. The girl's mother dies, and the father calls her back to his home. The girl is now very skinny and bony, looking like an old lady, because she got involved in using drugs to keep her mind off of being abused by her husband and other previous men. The girl had lived in five different states during five years. |
