I listened to the song life 50 times continuously and I finally have it figured out. A "rock" on your "shoulder", at least in Russian, means something that weighs you down. And the lead singer is talking about shaking off these rocks by "shaking them off dontown", which I assume refers to going to a club to dance. |

@[benjamin17:23824] I think the apples in that fell out of the eye while someone(I think him) was sleeping meant that his encounter with the woman who acts like a nurse(who I think is a literal woman) does not hold his interest as his romantic partner after he slept with her. |

No guys, no. I can't tell you what the whole song means. There is stuff about drugs and there is stuff about a one night stand with a woman. I think the nurse reference is about a girl who wants to fix and she has "pharmacy keys" which is probably reference to drugs. He doesn't feel flattered though because "she acts just like a nurse with all the other guys". There is no mental ward and the woman is real and not a metaphor for addiction. I guess apples that fell out of eyes are probably indicative of a fact that it was a one night stand and he doesn't like her anymore. Rugs topography is him being passed out face down on the carpet. The shrinking in the head... I wish I knew. The song is kinda disjointed and jumps from topic to topic and quite honestly I like it that way. |
