When I first heard this song I new it had an incredible message To me, this is probably wrong but I see the song as keeping some positivity. The light behind your eyes could be that positivity and "never let them take the light behind your eyes" never let anyone take away the positivity even if it's a small amount don't let anyone take it. I don't know. I'm probably wrong about this I've seen a lot saying this could be a suicide note. I think that could be the meaning as well by then I also think this. |

I feel like this song is about anxiety/ depression/ negative thoughts/ any mental illness because music could help distract you from those thoughts and concentrate on the music instead of what's going through your head but since the car radio has been stolen you can't ignore your thoughts and are stuck with them "I could pull the steering wheel" that means Like you would want to end it all and get rid of those thoughts your stuck with. Basically I think it's about how music has helped with mental Heath and it's difficult when you don't have music |
