I see this as being a story of a boy and a girl who are at a tough point in their relationship. The girl feels like things have fallen apart completely. She feels as though the boy hates her and doesn't want to be with her anymore, yet, he doesn't break up with her. Every time she confronts him he says she's 'crazy and there's nothing wrong' but she knows better than that and has no idea what happened to them and their relationship. Now she is finally confronting him, letting him know that he can either stay or leave - love her or leave her - as she hates being in this in-between stage where they are together, but broken. She want's him to stay and love her but if things are going to continue the way they currently are then she knows it would be best to just end things, even if it would break her heart to do so. |

To me, this tells the story of a young girl who struggled a lot through her school life. She was shy, quiet and probably super self-conscious about everything she done. She was the type of girl who would never raise her hand in class to ask a question, she was way too worried about her classmates making fun of her in some way. She never thought of herself as pretty, wonderful or anything significant. At most, she thought of herself as average. But now this young girl is all grown up, looking back on her younger self and realises that she should have taken more pride in herself. She is thinking of all the things she would have said to her younger self in order to make her more confident and happy. |

To me, this song tells the story of a relationship that started out normal, with potential and stability, like any other, but it starts to go downhill from there. The girl is putting more effort into the relationship while the guy is just kind of there, not really contributing at all or making her feel special. They go through a few break-ups because of this but somehow the girl always takes the guy back in the end when he shows up at her door and wants to go back to what they used to be. But this time she is rejecting him, telling him that she feels 'nothing at all' and that she 'won't fall this time' |
