Skipping stone to me is about a twin flame couple who upon meeting recognized their connection. After meeting they went through a spiritual awakening which caused pain and running from one another. He is seeing that running from her is not helping at all with the hurt he feels within himself but his ego is far too big to contact her himself. He knows that he can't continue on his spiritual journey without her help. He thinks that she is out looking for someone who knows what they want when in fact she herself is on her on journey to self love. Definitely a beautiful song however it's interpretation is taken. |

My interpretation of this song is that this person realizes they lack self love and how they have let their self down many times. They are trying to rise above and find their true self. They talk about how they got to the low place that they are at, self hate, and how they have come to their senses and will pull themselves out of their misery. |
