@[fuzzyslippers:19092] " I must add, that the last fourth of the song, when that fabulous melody comes in... is awesome!" - damn straight. Fugazi had a way of having a song go from being discordant to bursting into something gorgeous and this song is an amazing example. I do wonder what it would have been like if they had tried to make a song or two that sounded as awesome as this one part of small pox champion from end to end. (My guess is that such a song would have been in constant rotation on the radio.) |

"You should pay rent in my mind" makes me think about how our culture is saturated by advertisements and how much nicer it must have been to live in a time when seeing ads was very rare (in this one respect - I'm not nostalgic for polio). |
