To me the story of the girl is about depression. She had battled it for a long time without any support before deciding to leave and seek out a better environment. Now the second story. I think the guy in question is trans*. "He was just eighteen and in-between A lady and a man His daddy's girl in momma's world" Dio himself uses male pronouns when telling the story, but to his family he was still their daughter. "You know the word confused has been abused But that's just what he was" His family just though he was confused so he ran to get away from them because they didn't accept him. Ronnie's own story is a little harder to understand. "It was a single word that I'd just heard From the two that came before" I think that the two means the two stories that came before. Both are about moving on and leaving places that are not good for you. |
