Ed Sheeran – Castle On The Hill Lyrics 8 years ago
This song is about nostalgia of your youth. The song tells stories of when he was younger and growing up. It's about him growing older but not forgetting about those he are up with. In the bridge he tells where his old friends are now and how they "raised him". There's always that feeling of nostalgia when going back to where you grew up. Just driving down that road you always drove down can provoke so many memories and emotions from the past. In a way the castle on a hill is a metaphor. Yes, they literally could be watching the sunset over the castle on the hill, but I think it has a deeper meaning. He's almost watching his past set in a glorious tone, sense "castle on the hill". His past is setting and he now is on a new chapter in his life.

Martin Garrix – Scared to Be Lonely Lyrics 8 years ago
At the start of their relationship it was good, but soon it started getting very routine and the feeling left. They start to wonder why they keep "coming back for more" as they start seeing more and more flaws in each other. The chorus is about how we as humans always want someone. Even if they aren't good for us, we realize it's better than being lonely. In the next verse they start to wonder what it even felt like when it was real. Basically, this song is about how "Even when we know it's wrong" we still stay with someone because we are scared to be lonely. We would rather be with someone than not.

Avicii – Wake Me Up Lyrics 8 years ago
To me this song is about wanting to get out go the situation you are in. This person is barely getting through and is " caught up in a dream". So many times there are people who love doing something and dream about and 100% of the time they get taken down about it and told they can't do it. It's almost like they're giving up as the lyrics say "wake me up when it's all over, when i'm wiser and i'm older." They're just want to almost fast forward to a better time and get out of the one they're living in. This song is about being so down about life and yearning for a different one. It's about wanting to follow your dreams but being taken down by society and how we are all told we need to do "normal" jobs when we grow up. In school we are molded into something that is what society wants. There's no room for creativity or doing what you are passionate about if it's seen as "outside the box.". This person has a dream but is bring told by people in their lives to give up on it. Weirdly in the second verse it looks up upon being young and being able to travel the world and "not afraid to close my eyes". This person sees the good in being young, but also wants to be more wise and wish for the pain of it to be over.

The Chainsmokers – Paris Lyrics 8 years ago
The chainsmokers describe this song as "a sentimental yearning for a reality that isn't genuine" and "an irrecoverable for fantasy that evokes nostalgia or day dreams". In an interview drew explains that this song is about a friend of his who was a drug addict and he was writing it from his perspective.
To me this song is yes, about a man who has a girlfriend who both are drowning in the consequences of addiction, but to anyone, a situation that is so bad that you yearn for a happier reality. This song can be interpreted in many different ways
1. A guy who has a girlfriend and they are both stuck in their lives, barely getting by. As he explains "if we go down then we go down together" he is saying how no matter what he will be with her and stick by no matter what anyone else thinks
2. To me this song anyone can relate to. This song is about being in a tough situation and wanting to get out. Whether addiction, depression, or anything, we all have times in our lives where we desperately want to leave and go to a safe haven. We all want to go to a "Paris" of our. This song is about going to that place where everything is better while daydreaming for a reality that isn't genuine. It's about ignoring those who think your crazy and don't agree with you and going somewhere better. He knows that it isn't genuine and that no matter what he's stuck in this daydream, but life is better dreaming for him. This song is about hope and craving a new reality so badly that you daydream about it and go to so called "Paris" where everything is better.
