i think this song is mildly based on the novel THE GREAT GATSBY..b/c in the book a man wants to move from his middle class home to the east egg..the classy town..he just thinks everything is better over there..and thats what i think..but who really knows..all indie rock is little stories of life put into bigger words and song form..i love it |

the first time i heard this song i started to cry alot..it was b/c my grandpa just died and it hit home like all JEW music does..but i know for a fact that this song is about the bands friends (heads of the weezer fanclub i believe) that died in a car accident going from show to show when they traveled alone against the request of the band |
