| So I love Mac and all his music. He's such a real person and if you're even reading this you're probably an awesome person too. I feel like this song is about alcohol. "Annie" is just him personifying alcohol. It makes perfect sense from my personal perspective. It's his go to. It's his friend when there is no one else around. Annie is there for him to spill his deepest secrets to when there's no one there to listen. Annie doesn't judge. Annie doesn't solve. Annie is just there. And she always will be.
