This is my interpretation from a Christian standpoint. It can also easily be interpreted into an interpretation of war. "Sanctus Esperitus" is the Latin meaning to "Holy Spirit" Sanctus Esperitus Redeem us from our solemn hour (dark hour) Sanctus Esperitus Insanity is all around us (this work is going crazy without purity) Sanctus Esperitus Is this what we deserve, can we break free? (Is there anything in this world that could possibly save us from our sin (punishment for sin)) In my darkest hour, I could not foresee that the tide could turn so fast to this degree. (I thought sin was great, but I realize it was short lived. It lead down a dark road very fast and now I'm in a horrible position) Can't believe my eyes, how can you be so blind? (I can't believe that sin could ruin me. How can we be so blind to believe that it could've been good for any moment?) Time keeps on slipping away (Time is running out to be saved) And we haven't learned (We haven't learned. We enjoy sin so why let it go?) But in the end now what have we gained? (But after all this sin, what long term satisfaction have we really had?) Are they themselves to blame, the misery, the pain (Did we bring this upon ourselves?) Didn't we let go, allowed it let it grow? (Aren't we the ones who created this monster of evil to lurk into our lives?) If we can't restrain the beast which dwells inside, it will find it's way somehow somewhere in time. (If we don't let go of our sin and take God as our savior, the darkness will find it's way into you're heart and eat you alive no matter where or how long it takes.) But if we fail, it will be in vain (But if we fail to let go of our evil ways, what would it all be for?) |
