Man, for the days of album rock stations that would play a 9 minute song without a second thought simply because it was a most righteous jam. I remember driving around with my buddies and when this song came on, we'd just shut up and rock with it. I dunno -- fire of life, fire of love, how much more the intensity when life and love are one. I think that last line sums it up: You are young and you are free but damned if you're deceased in your own life time. This song makes me think of being young and alive and just realizing how much you love the person standing next to you just as they realize the same, and all the promises you want to make because you ARE young, you ARE free, and the fire you feel because of it needs no other source than that. |
