"Drink the long Drink the long draught Drink the long draught for big priest Drink the long draught down Drink the long Drink the long draught Big priest" If we decide to draw meaning from this potentially abstract section then it could be imagined that this is describing priests getting drunk. Later in the section... "Check the record Check the record Check the guy's track record Check the record Check the guy's track record" Could this be a reference to the shocking history of priests descovered to have a track record in sex offences. Rock the record could be the priest is like a muso "cool" priest. In this (completey made up by me and probably nothing to do with it) perspective this is a song attacking peadophillia in the catholc church and therefore making powerful social commentry contrary to the surface appearance of the song being a random, ranty sureal poem without direct meaning. Or is it? |
