I think Brandon has very cleverly used his fear of flying to represent the everyday fears that we, as people, face in the moment and he is begging God (father) to ease these fears as he is so scared. I think the lines about changing his way of living highlights that it's about much more than just planes. |

I think it's pretty obvious that this song is a love song bit I think a lot of people miss an important aspect of the love song and that's God's love; "Don't give the ghost up" - Holy Ghost - "Your heart is not able" - not able to comprehend God's love - "Your prayers, they're not fables" - God listens to your prayers - and "my list" sounds like a very clear reference to the names in the book of life. I think it's from a man to a woman and God's love comes into it as the anchor for the strength they both need. |
