| The Tragically Hip – The Last Of The Unplucked Gems Lyrics | 8 years ago |

Violins and tambourines hypnotize. The last of the unplucked gems refers to the massive gold deposit located somewhere within the Glacier National Park of Canada. Quartz creek ;-) |

| The Tragically Hip – Wheat Kings Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
This song has a double meaning. Poets do that cause that's what poets do. Obviously David Milgard gets most of the attention here. However, equally important is the reference to wheat kings have all treasures buried. There was a massive gold deposit discovered in the Rookies in the early 1860's. The gold was moved to the Canadian prairies. National parks most likely protect the hidden treasures. I love the line, besides nobody's interested in something you didn't do. Canada isn't the country we think it is;-) Tragically I Love the Hip. |

| The Tragically Hip – 38 Years Old Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
First I would like to point out the obvious as it's standing right in front of us. The basis of this song is that; His sister got raped so a man got killed, local boy went to prison, mans buried on the hill. It's the 4th song from there second album. The title of the 5th song is fitting. I personally can't see Gord Downie singing this verse unless it was the truth. 38 years old and never kissed a girl simply means that the guy was never married. Now go listen to the first album again as if this verse is the basis of the band. |

| The Tragically Hip – About This Map Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
This song is about an old treasure map that Robert Brown sent to London England in the year 1858. Both Downie Creek and Baker Creek exist today in the interior of B.C. Canada. Shortly after the discovery of the gold fields (near the current town of Golden B.C) Queen Victoria and a lawyer from Kingston held a "private" meeting. Canada was born July 1st, 1967. Sir John A. MacDonald held prime minister for 24 years and was often referred to as a drunk. William Downie was a gold prospector whom,in my opinion, looks like the lead singers. In my opinion ;-) |

| Bob Marley and the Wailers – Get Up, Stand Up Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
This song is about the human struggle with God and the devil as we exist here on earth. The preacher man is any man who seeks materialistic thing like gold(heaven is under earth)on this spiritual journey. If you know what life was worth, you would look for yours on earth, so know you see the light. Eternal life is what Bob Marley is all about. Period! May God Bless you all :-) |
