| Zounds – Fear Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| The lines with the question marks sound more like "They don't need reason, they don't want to know, Who or what they're fighting, just tell them where to go" with the first four lines repeated in the background. Bit of inspiration from 'Sing a song of Six Pence'. | |
| Trisomie 21 – The Last Song Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| I think it's either about feeling wonderful when you are with a certain person or being with someone wonderful but not feeling the benefits because of depression. The 'but' in the last sentence makes me think it's the latter. | |
| Black Sabbath – Heaven And Hell Lyrics | 9 years ago |
|
"Love can be seen as the answer, but nobody bleeds for the dancer" - the dancer is a representation of someone showing you injustice being done to someone or something (e.g. ecosystems). And maybe love and kindness, the opposite of a greedy politician/the devil. The greedy person doesn't take heed of them because they only care about themselves. "Fool, fool, you've got to bleed for the dancer" - You're a fool if you cannot sympathise with the dancer. Because in the end money is worth nothing and love and kindness are worth everything. |

| Tool – No Quarter (Led Zeppelin cover) Lyrics | 9 years ago |
|
The lyrics in the Tool version are more like - Lock all the doors and kill the lights. No one's coming home tonight. The sun beats down and don't you know? All our lives are growing cold, oh... They bring news that must get through. To build a dream for me and you, oh. Locked in a place where no one goes. They ask no quarter They have no quarter. Lock the door, kill the light No one's coming home tonight It's getting colder [7x] Locked in a place where no one goes. Lock the door, kill the light No one's coming home tonight They bring news that must get through. Dying peace in me and you Locked in a place where no one goes. We have no quarter We have no quarter We ask no quarter ____________ Praise Tool... |

| Front 242 – Masterhit Lyrics | 9 years ago |
|
I like the idea of the pet snake escaping and eating its owner (as revenge/natural instinct). Hit = kill, master = owner (kill your master). The warm little beasts are mice. An aperitif. "Holding you tied... Constricting viscous rings"... is the snake constricting and swallowing its prey. "You don't seem to share my impatience" (my eagerness to follow the natural course). "Now I'm on the other side, you seem surprised." Now the role has reversed you seem surprised that your 'play' thing could overtake you and do what it wanted with you. "You know me"... (you think you know). I think the snake is a metaphor for a person being underrated/suppressed and rising above. Or something along those lines. Very very catchy!! |
