I think this song is about a man telling his life story of wanting to protect his pride and but having too much pride, causing him to lose sense of what is right or wrong and telling the listener to not make the same mistake as he did. As the coming of age part is him getting older leaving him with nothing because he was too cocky and nobody likes that type of person( I know I don't ) causing nobody to want to be with him. Leaving him with nobody who cares and no help. Just a guess!! :) |
