| Love this song. It feels meaningful even though I don't know what it means. I can't however help but wonder if maybe he was referring to his daughter Daisy, when he says "I'm screaming Daisies", may it's about the desisions to remain quite about her being his daughter and have strong feels of regret and feeling like a fly in her life watching from a far??? | |

| To me this song seems to be referring to disappointing someone he loves. He doesn't know what to say, but he is tring to fix it and patch the relationship up. He is surrendering and giving himself to (her) and is asking her to let go of the past and move forward with him. When he says she's got the antidote it's like saying its up to her now to let go of the past and continue forward with him (into the afterlife). | |

To me this song is about getting past a bad patch in a relationship and coming out of it in a good place. The 1st set of lyrics are about getting himself together and doing the right things." head straight, screwed on, been screwed up for to long". "I don't want to lean on the waves" refers of not wanting to focus on the negative things and engery around them. "I think of you in starry skys" means he thinks of good times when he thinks of her and that keeps him going. "Let walk through the fire together, disappear into the golden sands." Lets face everything together and come out of it together and in a better place. "It's all in your face, I see you break" refers to the disappointment he see on her face. "the bleeding love, the silent escape" refers to heart break and not speaking about it. "you have to hang on to yourself" is just not letting the heart break and guilt destroy you. "Medusa smiles, Judas lips, Open arms and finger tips" is him luring her back in. "Love bites and recompense I'll be with you until the end" love is not always good. He wants to make amends and fix the relationship and be together forever. I also have to wonder if "Winter" doesn't refer to Gwen's song "Early Winter" that she wrote in 2006 about ending a relationship? To bad it didn't work out for them I think he really loved her, he just keeping making bad desisions and thought she would keep forgiving him. |
