Ok so we know they got drunk, when they got to her flat the key didn't fit, my guess is they weren't actually at her flat. Somehow they got in, slept on a mat and they woke up and realized they were in the wrong place (area 7 instead of area 3). Could the areas be the transport areas of London? which are basically concentric rings around the city, so area 7 is on the outskirts, area 3 fairly close to the middle of town. I'm not sure how this all relates to the "dawning of a new era" chorus, any ideas? |
