From ajarn Sean's EFL class She is angry that her ex-lover sold her out or did something that was extremely hurtful. She can’t tolerate his rotten behavior. She can’t believe that their story would end that way especially since she was likely considering him to be a potential life-long partner (“we could have had it all”). She had given herself completely to him (her heart in his hand) and he used her (played it to the beat) She is warning him that she is or will go after him if he continues his behavior. It appears that he did something for personal, selfish benefit and it betrayed her trust. She wants him to be prepared for the bad days coming ahead. She is going to turn it around and use his story against him (I have no story… but I’ve heard one on you) and make him suffer (make your head burn). She hopes that he suffers and feels depressed about his terrible behavior and she will bounce back, be stronger, smarter and eventually happier (sorrow into treasured gold). |
