@[AspartameBT:17256] The song appears to reference a haiku by the eighteenth-century Japanese poet Kaga no Chiyo on the death of her young son: 'tonbo-tori, kyo wa doko made itta yara' (which translates more or less as: 'chaser of dragonflies, to what distant place have you gone today?'). Here they have taken some poetic licence and changed it to a girl. I really like their rhymed version in these lyrics. |
