Actually I didn't see this until after I commented. I tend to agree with you on the prostitution view.

I thought he was talking about a Prostitute, but I wouldn't wager my home on that being fact. That's all I got, I suppose I could make an argument to support my opinion, but Sponge Bob is on in 11 minutes and does my opinion really matter? To me the answer is definite no! However I do enjoy reading others opinions and perspectives on Great songs, far more than I enjoy voicing my own. <3

Oasis – Goodbye Cold World Lyrics 9 years ago
I agree Josie, I'm a huge Oasis fan since '95 and a Pink Floyd fan since '88. I've never heard Oasis cover a PF song. You're probably right, maybe a concert or possibly a Pink Floyd Tribute Concert for 1 of PF'S Anniversaries or Hall of Fame induction celebrations, etc. I remember Roger Waters was doing a Wall Tribute and I know Waters & Oasis are big supporters of the Teen Cancer Trust Organization and Oasis has played that with Roger Waters. They both also have appeared at a Drug Addiction Charity Concert event. I also know "Heroes" is on a Bowie Compilation of Various Artists. So there's many possibilities but generally if Oasis has any new songs that were unreleased, then I hear about it immediately thru 1 or more of my Oasis Fan Page Groups on Facebook. I never this one mentioned. This is a pretty good Track List!! Most I've seen are very incomplete. I was pleased to see this one! BestWishes!!!

Amber Run – 5AM Lyrics 9 years ago
To me this song is about a person coming back to where they grew up, after being gone and living their life successfully, then seeing that someone they were very close to, like a best friend, gf, etc.) that you had your best times and menories with, got stluck....I assume maybe that person has been destroyed by those things you did with them, and that you were able to walk away from, yet they've succumbed to.

(I don't know whether I'm right or wrong, for me, interpreting a song isn't a right or wrong, yes or no proposition. Songs can mean different things td different people. That's why songs like this are so meaningful and beautiful...they touch us personally and have a way of taking us back to a time, person, or event in our lives. So I would never put someones interpretation down. I write music, so I read alot about different SongWriters and many of the greats would never say what their lyrics were about, because they didn't want to encroach on their listeners personal meaning. I use to think that was a cop out and they just said that because the song was random and not about anything except some words that sound right together. I was very wrong and have alot of respect for they that act this way. It shows they put the listeners experience above their own ego. Like a gift, "Here, I'm giving you this with no strings attached . Do with it as you wish, it's your song now. Rather beautiful I think, and why Music is the most loved form of artistic expression.
***I've also noticed on alot of other sites, the lyrics to this song are incorrect. This site is 1 of the few that have "...you won't find love at the bottom of a Class C hole." others have glassy bottle, glassy bottom, I even thought the lyric was "....in a glassine vial" as in what some heroin comes in. But I too was wrong. :D
