"On the band's website the song is the story of a couple who are trying to flee from a fascist government of "Faux-christians". "Faux" means "Fake" or "False", which is evidence that they don't hate Christians per se, just people who use and abuse it for their own agendas" Oh Okay.. good... "This song in particular is ironic in that they're comparing their fleeing from their country to a biblical story where a couple also tries to escape an unjust non-Christian government, so they're trying to say that Christianity isn't the problem, but anytime a government uses an idea to oppress its people." -- I like your explanation. |

These are just a few examples.. there are many more A "Christian Fascist" is one who has cultivated a population void of God's Word,and then TOLD them whatever he wanted to, to control the people.. and put God's name on it. -- also, fascists do this, because they know that "All who call on the Name of God will be saved" Romans 10:13... so to tell people the lie that their oppressor, is the really one who can free them... the fascist gets the captives to RUN from the one who can save them.... if it's authoritarian, it's not Jesus.. but a misuse of His name. |

And THAT is exactly WHY God sent His only Son, to come, live a perfect life, and take the torture on Himself, and die.. to put a stop to all the killing... and to teach us LOVE... He wouldn't even allow the disciples to kill and fight to save JESUS Himself! -- totally non violent, full of grace and mercy -- never hurt anyone. Others have use the bible to mislead people who have not read it themselves.. the crusades, for example.. Jesus would not have approved.... The love of Christ, heals, provides for our needs, and encourages.. and forgives John 10:10 |

AT LEAST talk to people who love Him, ask questions... READ HIS BOOKS .... Westboro Baptist is NOT a Christian Group... Christian groups renounce them... Christians LOVE... that's it. ---- people who hate, may call themselves Christian, they may even think they are Christian... but they are not. I hope the Holy Spirit has you (these writers) encounter, everywhere they go, people they are drawn to in a positive way, people that know how to pour selfless love out on everyone they share space with... okay, Great Sound! .... but just for accuracy.... and authenticity... Do you have a technical editor in the area of Bible, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Because there are some serious errors here that are going to hurt people. Sorry if you had bad experiences with God. But rather than get Him through people, you might know Him more clearly by reading His Word... the book of John.. or even Philippians Chapter 4... |
