This song is about chasing your dreams ya'll Let me lay it out for you. The band is about to make it big so close to signing a record deal, and his girl lays it out to him...It's me or the music. Obviously he chooses to go with his true love and chase music and fame, and this is his apology letter to her. I absolutely love this song, and the lyrics are strong. Definitely one of my favs |

I think there is a bigger overall message to this song. I think this song is about the government being a bully to all of the little people. Thats why they all chant when he says "we don't have to take this, we can end it all!' (overthrow the government) If you listen to the song with those thoughts in mind then it seems to make alot of sense |
