I think it's a little ambiguous. There's sarcasm for sure I'm the verses but the bridge sounds direct and sincere: "Without my friends I got chaos / I'm off in a beam of light / Without my friends I'd be swept up high by the wind." Considering his emotional state that sounds genuine. So maybe it's a bit of both. |
