@[alf0509:15912] : I've always absolutely loved this song. After all of these years and the hundreds of times (if not more) that I've listened to it, it still invokes so much emotion in me. I have always felt this song was about the singer's father, either heavenly or biological. Honestly though, I always thought everyone assumed it was about his talk with God. The first line is "I found God on the corner of First and Amistad." It's such a deeply personal, relatable song and I really love it, but I am a big fan of The Fray as a whole. Anywho...just wanted to join the long list of other's who were moved by your interpretation of this song and tell you what a beautiful job you have done explaining it. Thank you!! |
