Brute – Westport Ferry Lyrics 8 years ago
These lyrics were written by Vic Chesnutt, with Widespread Panic as the house band.

I was thinking tonight it may be about the Titanic - boat was moving West when it struck an iceberg.

@[bkabbott:19540] New screen name, I feel like a douche.

I'm studying to be an attorney and I can articulate normally if I work on editing, but apparently I just had to get this post up, so I could move to the next.

I actually saw documentaries about Jesse James and Robert Ford some years before Breaking Bad, but that reference, IMHO was a direct foreshadowing of Walter White's death.

I'm going to click the link to the blog and see how bad it was (I was drunk when I blogged, except for Breaking Bad, when I knew it was significant, but I would have to rewind multiple times and pay attention). It was undergrad, who, with a brain wouldn't be drunk.

Alice in Chains – Your Decision Lyrics 8 years ago
I have a substance abuse problem.

I'm trying to fix it. God has spoke to me before and told me what He wants, but sometimes I blatantly disobey him.

I have been reading "My Daily Bread" which is Catholic literature, to help myself grow spiritually and do what God wants.

Pray for those who died early - an excerpt below

"Though a man may disregard God's holy commandments during his earthly life, he will have to account for them sooner or later. The greatest catastrophe which can befall a man is an unprovided death. At present he can help himself by admitting God's truth and obeying His law. After death, however, he will no longer be able to save himself. Though he had a life-time to take advantage of God's love and mercy he now faces God's. The Divine Justice will reward him according to his earthly life and he will go to Heaven or hell. A spiritual man is one who seeks to make the best use of this brief earthly life. He seeks to live in such a way that he may never sacrifice his greatest success for smaller and less important successes. He strives to place first things first. Therefor, he endeavors to follow God's holy Will in all things. The first stage of a successful spiritual life consists of self-purification. Though self purification is a life-long task, one in this stage of spiritual development makes it his outstanding daily goal. He strives to rid himself of all serious sins and any predominant venial faults which may lead to mortal sin. In doing so he lays a foundation for virtues which he will later practice in a more positive manner, and not just as the opposites of his present faults."

I wanted to add this quote "Melody is overwhelmingly the single most important feature of a musical work in evaluating the merits of copyright infringement claims. The entire corpus of judicial opinions in the area of music copyright infringement dwells on melody as the single most idiosyncratic element of the works in question, and almost entirely the locus of the economic worth of a song. Accordingly, the more melodically similar two works are, the more likely a court will determine that the later created work infringes upon the earlier." The melodies are very similar, and Bentley (or his minions) took the hook in its entirety.

An independent musicologist cleared Dierks of wrongdoing but the melodies are so similar I question his knowlege of copyright law. Some of those guys are artsy fartsy "I.e. New art begins when...". What do the facts say what does the law say? If Jason had the money to mount an extensive legal campaign (balance his resources with Dierks) I strongly believe he would have won.

This isn't the Led Zeppelin case (as a Jazz Studies performance major I heard Edgar Meyer say you can't copyright a melody, and that's why there are countless jazz songs with different melodies and the same chords - to avoid paying royalties.

I have a friend in Nashville who is extremely talented - James McNair. He writes for Sony and Florida Georgia Line. I put him to shame on the guitar when he was at Tuscaloosa with me, but one day he sent me a snap of a session where he was doing some blue grass shit (very bebopish) and I was like holy shit James puts me to shame now.

So I was going to go to law school, with my GPA I had a 50% chance of admission to USC if I broke 170 (which I was on track to do). From doing PHP and MySQL mainly as a hobby I realized the family business (water sewage company) could expand outside of our geographical region if we implemented SAP.

If we (I.e. Me) did our own billing app we could ensure that deadlines are met on time and that the code was scalable. So I said fuck law school, and I'm working on OOP.

To the creator of this website - buy PHP Classes Objects and Practice.

Your site works but I question how scalable it would be if it were a business enterprise application.

You didn't delete my comments, and you banned me, my bombastic nature would have ruined me, even though I was right.

You didn't include the option to edit posts, or delete them - features which are standard on most forums and improve the quality of the site (bad grammar or drunk posts get edited or deleted).

That's all I have to say.
