The line "No more..., The CHANGES ARE SHIFTING OUTSIDE...THE ..(words)..does fit with the theme of language, words, and the value of language in its relationship with the songs general topic of personal love ..but the next line..in a different voice (possibly a child) rushed..interjected as if addendum information needs inclusion.. an alternative, or newly discovered knowledge for consideration, or clarification, to contextualize the previous phrase..the language is shifting..to where, or for what purpose... the phrase might be, ..shifting OUTSIDE THE WORLD..the phrase is repeated..this might be a rhythmic choice (song construction)..it might be emphasised for a meaning .. signaling a shift in the topic, the focus.. Taken with the interjection.."no one ever speaks about the monsters" it directs us to REMEMBER...this new information we just learned..there are monsters outside..( were they there before..did we just notice them,..what does this new awareness of monsters mean?) The changes are SHIFTING outside the WORLD..does answer and unify various elements in the lyrics and ties into the general portend of the song. "The changes are shifting outside the world"..as if a narrator is giving a direction, as in "meanwhile..." This ties to, "there are monsters outside".. Is this a different place, existance, seperate from the one inhabited by the observers "inside?" |

First.. "No more I love You's..(not yous'. as in you all) but you's..as in ..I will not be SAYING possible feeling..or even experiencing a superficial..unexamined relationship with anything ..bo moreI love you ...anymore.... who knew an apostrophe creates so much confusion 2nd...I don't find myself..BOUNCING AROUND...WHISTLING UNCONSCIOUS TUNE ANYMORE... no more..confusion please..listen to the line..its clear as crystal.. There are ..no buttonholes..and the meter if the song..does not invite a Gettysburg address. .cramming of pointless drivel. If you truly require more ..write your own tune. Clearly the meaning..i(METAPHORICALLY) is larger than an individual.."there are monsters outside. .no one ever speaks about the monsters"...clearly..this song is attempting to teach us something about ...an alternative ..or comensurate... reality. a perspective, that might unlock an expanded awareness of who..or what..some of us are..where we come from..why we came. Lastly to YOU..who see this..THANK YOU ...for the personal enlightenment..I am more aware because of it...and thank you for your commitment to the arduous tedious work of enlightenment...though it is not comfortable..it is liberating..and will free you to the light...we all.. will be free..one trudging step at a time...many many have come along your path ..and have gone on..into the light...your strength..and commitment ..moves this experience forward..for all on this trek. |

Check out some of Bowies work...better yet...check out Sir David yourself..what do you see... We watched him come a far way...PRAISE THE LIGHT...from his past...as he got older..I looked for some acknowledgement from him...did he know who he had been..did he know how far into the light he had come...its not easy..or comfortable...to move that much..he had to have some personal awareness...Sure enough..he did ...and commented on how much he had changed...grown...over the years..into the light. .."become normal". By the way..why do monsters like pizza ..I don't quite get it...but I have my suspicions.. food for thought..eh..haha |

In the 1st pt. He's talking bt the monsters or vamps. Accounting 4 their mod times popularity..wht cn nvr cm bk..nvr forgt how it feels.alluding to a deep connection we ..most..some..many..have with a previous existnce..now almst an illusion..the illuson is deep as the night..the monstr.... vamp heritage ..he calls us to remembr/feel frm deep within..your pain shows you have this awareness in your core ..but not all do .. He shifts gears..to show factual contrst..& put us in now times/existance..paralized by blood of christ..this light -1 time sacrifice of at onement and enlightening..brings all entities into one common experience..but though it..the christ light..clouds his eyes..he..still remembers.. I can never stop remembring..or..feeling the pain..to be dry salt bare in the sun...these are aspects of NOW..cotrasted angst ..THEN...finally he connects the now existance..by speculating when sunset glow...the light ...fades...this too ..will become a distant memory as well...like the other existance has..many have expressed this deep connect with an earlier..darker existnce...song..NO MORE I LOVE YOU'S ..totally abt it...the pain..of the awareness love/light brings to the uniluminated soul...eyes without a face.. |
