I lost my husband in May of 2016 to cancer. He turned 50 the day before he passed. We were always there for each other. We kept "the promise that we made" and it was effortless. I was with him when he took his last breath and he was never "lonely" and neither was I until May 27th, 2016. This song makes me think of him so much. "Love letiers in the sand" because he asked me to marry him at the beach and "will you marry me" was written in the sand as we walked down the beach together. "We spent the summer with the top rolled down" because we always took rides in our Jeep to the beach and everywhere else just to escape life and enjoy each other. "Washed away a dream of you" because I dream of him most nights and the dream is interrupted by rain or the light of morning. "But nothing else could ever take you away, because you'll always be my dream come true. Oh my darling I Love You" because although a dream may be interrupted NOTHING can ever completely take him away from me. He is forever with me in my heart and in all of our beautiful memories. And "I live" for the memories of his smile and the memories of how he made me smile" BUT I would "Die for just one kiss". This is an amazing and powerful song for me and I have no doubt, for countless reasons, it is for so many others as well. I love you baby. Forever... that's all. Gracie ♡ |
