He tried to talk his friend down from jumping but he wasn't there - 'i see you falling before you hit the ground' means i can imagine it. The jumper was obviously in love and the reason he he was contemplating jumping. 'What am i to do when I'm miles away' - he feels helpless cos he's not there. 'Gotta keep faith...' - trying to talk him down. All so obvious and sad. Happened to me a few weeks ago but she 'jumped' - i cry every time i hear it 'there's no sacred cow' |
