When I first heard this song I was confused because I thought the part about how it says "I can't stop the rain from falling down on you..." was confusing because at first glance I thought "God CAN stop the rain." But after some more thought I realized it may be referring to just every day things that happen to both Christians and nonchristians alike and it reminded me of the verse Matthew 5:45 which says "...He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." If you're like me in that this song confused you at first maybe you can look at it from this perspective. And there are definitely examples of things that just happen to everyone like a loved one may pass away, everyone will die someday that is inevitable so ya hope this helped |

@[Vagga11:15639] actually it may be exactly what scripture talks about in Matthew 5:45: "...He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." Maybe he's referring to the trials and things we may go through in life, Christians are normal people too that will experience heartache and bad times, they're not exempt from life. |

@[malli321:15638] also to add to what you said about rain falling on everyone, Matthew 5:45
"...He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." |
