he knows her so well he could be her shrink, her partner in everything 'her' -but has been a silent partner. He knows but no one else does, that he has been her partner. He knows how she works. He still doesn't understand why she doesn't realize he is the one for her. If she stays tonight and they open a new door together (seeing eachother romantically) He hopes she goes wherever it leads with him. Hes been waiting for her to realize this. All this, all of him, could be hers. Hes BEEN patient, and he knows he wants her, but she has to meet him half way - she has to try. This is what I currently get from this song, how I relate to it, how it moves me. Is this what the writer meant? I don't know. Will it mean something different to me a year from now - maybe. If it does I will write that too :) ps - this band is great. Soulful. |
