Maybe lost trust in another person they thought were close to? He wants everything to end because the pain is too much and can't deal or go on with life. This song was about caring for someone but them not returning the love back. Or same amount of work into the relationship. She's being selfish and doesn't try enough. "One part you three parts me" He's the one doing all the work and she knows it but doesn't care or change anything. "Don't know what you see in my negativity" he's angered and doesn't understand why this girl is still involved in the relationship. |

At the time, there was papers an articles saying that Layne died. Or like he lost fingers or limbs I think because the drugs. Obviously it wasn't true. But everyone fed on these rumors and viewed him as a 'lowlife' and junkie basically. It was all lies. So they made this song as a 'fuck you' to those people. "You'd be well advised not to plan my funeral before the body dies" It's all clear and simple in those lines. |
